Unnaturally Rational
This installation embodies the notion that technological solutions my be applied to the human body to maintain and control the health of the body. The medical world has begun in earnest to employ all kinds of devices to keep the biological body functioning; steel hip and knee joints, pacemakers and defibrillators, heart valves and even pumping mechanical hearts. These works dramatize what the replacement devices might look like for a few important organs.
